Because there is tremendous prospects as per Somaliland data which reported that, Livestock Export Sales contributed 20 per cent of total annual turnover and the government has been banking on aggressive marketing of its products directly in foreign markets to grow its earnings and help cut the over-reliance on the domestic market.
Likewise the export of beef and mutton has hit almost $60 million last year and has been growing at over 50% per year for the past three years. Consequently, we intend to promote the agriculture sector which has been contending with a number of factors that have limited its potential for generating new jobs in rural areas.
Through investment in high-growth companies, ECP enables job creation on a large scale and also encourages development of technical and managerial skills, thereby fostering a more sophisticated, highly skilled workforce across the continent
